The Central Texas Astronomical Society offers public programs and stargazing monthly for around the city of Hubbard in Hill County.  Join us, bring the family, and see the skies of  Central Texas!  You don't need to bring anything, but if you have binoculars or a telescope, by all means bring them.  A small flashlight would be helpful to get from the parking lot to the viewing area nearby and a lawn chair will make upward gazing a little more comfortable . CTAS members will be on hand, beginning at sundown, with telescopes and binoculars to highlight your tour of the night sky.  Sometimes weather does not cooperate and the Society regrets that it cannot offer a makeup date in case of rain.  Please check the schedule for next month's star party date.

Register for automatic Star Party reminders

Automatically receive notices of our star parties!  Just register once for a Hubbard Star Party, and you will receive an email notice/reminder each month.  Go to our Events page, click on the Hubbard Star Party Calendar Entry, and then on the "Register" button.  Registration for our public star parties is optional.  Register only if you want to receive a monthly notice/reminder.  This is new, so let us know how it is working.

Star parties have been at Hubbard City Lakes Park Park ("HCLP") unless otherwise noted.  From Hubbard, Texas, go west 2 miles on Highway 31.  The park is on your right. Star Parties are held at the Hubbard City Lakes Park pavilion parking lot.
