Why do your comps look like they are variable?

I am attaching the files in separate replies so they can be viewed at higher resolution.
Last night was a pretty nice night and the scope was available, so I did a preliminary run on the primary target, the central star of NGC1501.  I was able to capture 999 frames at 20 secs integration with the BG40 filter.  We should use 30 secs in the future.  Here is the final live plot and the field of view showing the comp stars I used.  Our scope is reserved this week, but we will began contributing data on Nov 1.  Let me know if you want to participate in this run.
