On the third Saturday of each month the Central Texas Astronomical Society hosts an Open House at its Turner Research Station, near Clifton, Texas. Each event is designed to describe our activities and to share our passion for astronomy.
The Open House is always held even if sky conditions are not suitable for viewing, unless severe weather demands that we close for safety considerations.
There will be a short program, a tour of the observatory and, weather permitting, visitors may experience the heavens with portable telescopes and/or live images from the 24-inch Meyer telescope.

Fees: There is no fee for our Open House programs.
However contributions are appreciated and may be made when registering

Students: Students are especially welcome, and we try to answer any and all questions.
School groups may be accommodated by special arrangement.
Note: We can accommodate groups up to about thirty - larger with special arrangements.
