Subject: Antennae Galaxies NGC 4038 & 4039 <<$228768250947$>>

NGC4038 & 4038 Antennae Galaxies in the constellation Canis Major shot on April 8 and 9th in 2019 from the Brickhouse Observatory on a 10" RC telescope. The Antennae Galaxies are in the process of joining to make one Giant Galaxy some time between now and 400 Million years in the future. They are located about 45 million Light Years from Earth. It is said that they started to merge about 800 million years ago and that about 600 million years ago they passed through each other. This is thought to be somewhat like what will happen when the Andromeda (M31) Galaxy, located at 2.5M years from us, merges with our Milkyway Galaxy in about 4.5 Million Years. Not to worry though, it is not likely that humans will survive on earth that long in my opinion.
