Notice
CTAS has been working through some concerns with PJMO's 24 inch telescope which affect the operation of the scope. As the subject matter experts work to resolve, CTAS has been advised that the scope will not be available for night sky viewing. However, we will continue to have our scheduled public open house and facility tour. As to the availability of the 24 inch scope for night sky viewing, we will keep the CTAS website and social media updated when there are status changes. Thank you for your interest and support of CTAS.
For open house: Weather and viewing conditions permitting, we will have functioning scopes and binoculars on the viewing field, and we encourage visitors and members to join us for some spectacular winter night sky viewing. The star parties will begin around 6 pm. There will also be a brief presentation and a facility tour.
For member star parties: weather permitting, we will have functioning scopes on the viewing field, and we encourage members to join us for some spectacular winter night sky viewing. Feel free to bring your personal scopes out as well. CTAS has an incredible amount of astronomical expertise that the members are more than willing to share. This is a great time to meet other members with common interests and have a great viewing session. The star parties will begin around 6 pm.
