A family-friendly event open to the general public free of charge. Great for all ages! Open houses typically feature a short presentation, a tour of the observatory, and telescope viewing opportunities. Note: Open House will take place regardless of the weather. However please be aware that cloud cover, storms in the area, high humidity, and other circumstances beyond our control may impact viewing conditions, or preclude astronomical observations altogether. In this case, the presentation and tour of the observatory will still take place, and it is still a great opportunity to meet local astronomy enthusiasts and learn about the exciting world of astronomy.
